Local Plus Size Bloggers

Metro Detroit is home to a growing number of style influencers and plus size fashion bloggers looking to grow the conversation around fashion and body image. Bloggers work to inform readers about industry news, provide style inspiration and shopping tips, and review products and brands to increase consumer confidence. Here’s an introduction to our growing network of local influencers and the unique missions that drive each of these inspiring ladies:

Leah V is a style blogger, content creator, + model, public speaker, Muslim feminist, and body-positive activist from Detroit. She was inspired to start the blog Beauty and the Muse in 2013 because there wasn’t enough inclusion of real beauty in the media. Her goals are to continue to spread style and self-love to underrepresented groups and to spark a fashion revolution.

Anne Adams of Curls and Contours

Anne Adams is a 20 something curvy girl with a Liberal Arts Education Degree from Eastern Michigan University. A flair for fashion and a passion for helping others, she founded Curls and Contours with dreams of helping and inspiring women to express themselves through what they wear. Anne lives with her husband and two dogs in southeast Michigan. She loves to read romance novels, ride her horse, and craft.

Katie Klink of Katie K Designs

Katie is a Southern woman living in the North filled with happiness, coffee and everything that comes in pink. Her style is classic with a hint of edgy and a sprinkle of her inner mermaid self. She loves being able to not only inspire other women but also help them feel confident and amazing about themselves.

Kendall Rayburn of Kendall Rayburn

Originally launched as a means of sharing her craft projects, Kendall’s namesake blog has since evolved into her passionate part-time occupation: A place to pour her heart into content across the lifestyle spectrum (see: plus-size fashion, family-friendly travel and activities, home decor, recipes and more). It has also become a powerful vehicle for sharing her struggles with Endometriosis—all with the token contagious positivity that’s garnered her devoted following. We dare you not to fall in love with the happy, hectic world of Kendall Rayburn and her family of two boys, three dogs, three cats, and one amazingly-patient husband.

Liz McGuffin of With Wonder and Whimsy

Liz is a lifestyle blogger, branding and social media consultant, and fashion editor for FabUplus magazine. She loves the fantasy aspect of fashion, and her blog is all about interpreting that fantasy for everyday life at an everyday budget. She believes that fashion should be fun and that getting dressed can be a ritual in self care and growing your confidence. She also blogs about her travels, love of entertaining, and adventures in the Mitten.
